The owner of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season is Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited. This entity was formed on December 19, 2014. And acquired the team and its rights from its parent company, India Cements.

The transfer of the Super Kings franchise to Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited was primarily due to a conflict of interest issues. In 2014, the ownership was transferred under the name of Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd. following a Supreme Court directive that struck down an amendment to the BCCI constitution allowing board officials to have a commercial interest in the IPL and Champions League T20.

Narayanaswami Srinivasan is an Indian industrialist known for his association with cricket administration and India Cements.

N Srinivasan is the Managing Director of India Cements Limited and has been a significant figure in the cement industry. He has also served as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). And the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

He has been investigated for several issues, including betting on IPL cricket matches. His son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was indicted for passing IPL information to bookies. Srinivasan was also investigated for corruption involving politician Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Srinivasan holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola College, Chennai. Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, United States.

He is married to Chitra Srinivasan, and they have two children, Ashwin and Rupa. His son-in-law is Gurunath Meiyappan.

The Kolkata franchise was sold to bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan & Juhi Chawla for $75.09 million (Rs 520 crore)

The Kolkata Knight Riders Owner is Knight Riders Sports Private Limited, co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan of Red Chillies Entertainment and Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta of the Mehta Group.

Red Chillies Entertainment holds a 55% stake in the franchise, whereas the Mehta Group owns the remaining 45%.

India Cements Limited is a cement manufacturing company in India. It was established in 1946 by S. N. N. Sankaralinga Iyer. It has 7 integrated cement plants in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.

The company is headed by former International Cricket Council chairman, N. Srinivasan. He is also the managing director of India Cements Limited. N. Srinivasan is a former Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and former President of the BCCI.

The Delhi franchise was sold to the GMR Group for $84 million (Rs 580 crore). The team changed its from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals, in December 2018.

In March 2018, GMR Group sold a 50% stake in Delhi Daredevils to JSW Sports for $77 million (Rs 550 crore).
