Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has created a buzz on social media with his latest post on Facebook. Where he teased his fans about his ‘new role’ in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Dhoni shared a video on his official Facebook page on Monday. With the caption: “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role’. Stay tuned!”
The post has gone viral, with over 2 million views, 300,000 likes and 20,000 comments, as fans. And followers speculated about what Dhoni meant by his ‘new role’.
Some wondered if Dhoni was going to retire from playing and take up a coaching or mentoring role for CSK. While others hoped that he would continue to lead the team as captain and batsman.
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020. He has been one of the most successful and influential players in the history of IPL. Dhoni having won the trophy five times with CSK and once with the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant.
